Melissa and Jason had a wonderful island wedding on Haig Point. They had their ceremony at the Lighthouse and then their guests moved to the Fountain for cocktails and then on to an awesome tented reception--where they never wanted to stop dancing!! It was great fun to get to know Melissa and Jason and plan with them--they knew they wanted their wedding day to be special and we were happy to help them make that happen. Melissa is the last daughter in a set of TRIPLETS--so her Dad never stopped smiling all night! It truly was a great event and we were honored to work with Carl Schroeder (officiant), Denise Gonsales Photography, and of course, Kristen and the entire staff of Haig Point.

Lighting at the Dunes House

We met Liz and Chris several months ago and got a great head start on planning. They live in Colorado, so we knew we needed to get all that we could get when they were on HHI!! They are a fabulous couple and they had very specific ideas about music they wanted at their reception. Westin Hilton Head was the site of their beautiful wedding and Tim Zielenbach documented the beautiful day with photography and Hilton Head Video documented with video! Sheri's Edible Designs outdid themselves again with a beautiful and delicious cake!

Parris Island Traditions was the setting of Carly and Matt's wedding and reception. There was not a single element that was eliminated from this wedding. Carly wanted a fun reception with a beach theme. Our photo booth definitely added the fun! We also had a really cool beach background for each photo that printed. Oh how we love Stephanie and Nick! They are a beautiful couple and we were thrilled to serve them! JLKevents was in full force for Stephanie and Nick--ceremony setup on the beach, cool Asian lanterns, photo booth and of course, incredible DJ/MC services for their reception. The Shorehouse at the Hilton Resort provided great service--Alison Ward and her staff were awesome! Mark Staff photographed the afternoon and evening and there is no doubt that Stephanie and Nick will have incredible images to share with family and friends for years to come!!! The night ended with lots of hugs and kisses for everyone--even for us!! It was a great night!

Allison and John--Hilton Head wedding at Crowne Plaza

Allison and John's reception was like a rock concert!! Allison and John and their crowd were ready for a party--and that is what they got! They had a beautiful ceremony on the beach in front of the Crowne Plaza and then cocktails and dinner in the beautiful Pavilion. Kristen Quillen and the staff at Crowne Plaza did a great job of serving everyone. When the formalities were complete...oh wow! The crowd went wild. They were so much fun! JLKevents also provided a dramatic Asian Lantern look in the pavilion and The Gaupers documented the event. Allison and John's wedding was a true celebration!! We were thrilled to be part of it!

Lighting at Port Royal

We had the honor of working for Melissa Sloan's wedding Saturday. Melissa wanted a Low Country Wedding with a lot of fun! She selected Port Royal Club as her venue. Jen Leiti and the entire staff were incredible! Melissa wanted to add a little bit of lighting on the back porch, so we strung cafe lights and Asian lanterns. There was a fire in the fireplace and rocking chairs and the bar--all together. I think it made for a relaxing spot! Many thanks to Gregg Flory for the images that he captured. Holly and Fred Hedemark

We were so honored to be part of Holly and Fred's wedding day! We have known Fred's parents for about 8 years and we think their entire family is just fabulous!! We also had the honor of entertaining at Fred's sisters wedding last February!

Holly and Fred's personalities really were evident through the entire event! They both love music and had specific selections from the pre-ceremony music to the last dance of the reception. They even arranged for a surprise serenade of Fred's parents (Marianne and Fred, Senior) to honor them for 40 years of marriage--which they celebrated on Sunday.

The beautiful Honey Horn pavilion was the site of the reception and it was "rustically elegant!" It was truly breath-taking! Downtown Catering served delicious Low Country Cuisine!

We look forward to keeping up with Holly and Fred through the years!

Palmetto Bluff and Caroline Carter--two great names in the wedding business!! Caroline contacted us several months ago about creating a magical and fun after-party in the cellar at the Inn at Palmetto Bluff. We were thrilled to take our lighting gear there and of course, to work with Caroline again. The bride and groom, Shedrick and Brandi were going to be completely surprised with our design--really cool, but a little scary too!! I think we were successful because according to Caroline, "Brandi walked in to the cellar last night and literally started screaming, jumping up and down, hugging me, and telling me it was the most amazing surprise. It was really the happiest I had seen her all weekend!"

WOW!! That's all we can say about Erin and Lucas. They are a high-energy, amazing couple and that is exactly how their wedding day was!! Haig Point was the setting for their wedding and Kristen Ploehn and the entire staff were a complete pleasure to serve with. Erin and Lucas had a beautiful ceremony at the Haig Point Lighthouse and then the party moved into the newly-renovated Haig Point Clubhouse. Erin and Lucas wanted their guests to have a blast--they wanted to move through all of the formalities of the evening and then spend a lot of time on the dance floor! And that is exactly what happened!! We were thrilled to get a phone call from Erin thanking us for the perfect wedding reception--that is why we do what we do!! We met Kayla's parents last summer when they were in town interviewing potential wedding vendors. We hit it off immediately, but that was easy to do because Carmen and Karen are great! We did not meet Kayla and Zach until January when they all came down from West Virginia. We quickly realized that Kayla and Zach were great too! We had a great time planning some fun things for their wedding and just talking and getting to know each other! The entire experience with JLKevents will last with us forever. Every single moment was exciting and special. When Jamie introduced the love story to the guests, it was very emotional and entertaining. It gave the guests a deeper understanding of Kayla & I's relationship and how we got to this special day. The finale was especially meaningful as they played "Country Roads" by John Denver. The majority of our guests, including ourselves, drove from West Virginia to Hilton Head, so having our guests surround us, while passionately cheering "Take Me Home, To The Place, I Belong, West Virginia, Mountain Mama, Take Me Home", was icing on the cake! What a pleasure to work with Rhythm Entertainment! Rhythm is a high volume entertainer from ATL and he was asked to DJ a wedding Hilton Head for a family friend. Who knew the slice of wonderful that sits right outside of Levy, SC? It is called Delta Plantation and it is gorgeous! Sebrell Smith Floral and Event Designers wanted to add lighting to the reception, so we were thrilled to be part of it. I truly loved the blue!! Oh, Tina and Eric--so much fun!! Tina's sister, Stacy called me and said they were going to hire us to entertain at her sister's wedding--no questions asked--just send a contract! I love that! Tina and Eric are from Kentucky and they brought their closest family and friends to the Hilton Shorehouse to celebrate their marriage. By the way, Kentucky people know how to have a good time!! How sweet is Sarah? This girl had the world turned upside down on her wedding day--Mother Nature was quite cruel!! May 1 was a wonderful day to get married in the Low Country/Savannah area! We were thrilled to be part of such a great day for four incredible couples. The Photo Booth!!

JLKevents Photo Booth Rental had their inaugural use last Saturday! ....And what better spot to begin this fun, but beautiful Haig Point? Kristen Ploehn and her team planned a "Woodstock" party their members and guests and they thought that the Photo Booth would add tons of fun to such a fun event. They were right!! It was great fun!! The guests had a great time "hamming" it up while they were dressed in their 60's outfits!

The photo booth at this event was "open air" because it was outside and the surroundings were so incredible!! We do have the ability to create an actual "booth" where guests would go in for their fun photos.

Many thanks to Haig Point for being our first photo booth customer.

JLKevents photo booths are a fabulous way to add excitement and fun to any event! They are the ultimate party favor!

Photos from the PhotoBooth are great favors for any event—weddings, corporate events, birthday parties…you name it! Everyone from age 2-92 will enjoy a JLKeventsPhotoBooth!!

We use high quality dye sublimation printers that produce professional photo prints. Feel free to customize your own photos to include monograms, logos, dates and names.
We cannot wait to discuss your event!

FAQs
Q - How does the JLKevents PhotoBooth work?
A – Just step in and begin! Guests enter the booth, press the button and the fun begins!! The guests will be given a countdown of when the camera will snap the photos (4 of them). Guests will be able view themselves as they are waiting for camera to snap! Once the photos have been taken, the guests are instructed to exit the booth and see the JLKevents attendant. The photos print out quickly so that the guests can re-join the party and show off their photos!!
Q - What does the JLKevents Attendant do?
A--The JLKevents Attendant is a trained professional that has several responsibilities during the course of an event, such as:

Keep the guests safe
Assist guests through the PhotoBooth process
Keep track of scrapbooking materials if necessary
Trouble-shoot any issues that might arise
Make sure everyone is having FUN!

Q - Can I customize or personalize the JLKevents photos?
A – Of course! We think it is great if you to incorporate any of the following into your photos:

Tracy and Landon Betsworth

Tracy and Landon--truly a couple who love life!! Tracy and Landon knew they wanted every aspect of their wedding reception to be one word--F-U-N!! It all started with fun and touching scripted introductions for their wedding party, continued into the most amazing choreographed first dance, and ended with an incredible After-Party! Tracy and Landon planned for everything--except the weather--and who can do that? Who would think that a Saturday in late March would be anything BUT perfect in Hilton Head? Well, Mother Nature threw us all a curve with winds and cold temps! But Malely and the entire staff at The Westin Resort, Dawn from A Floral Affair and Low Country Lights all worked hard to make it a perfect day for Tracy and Landon, despite the chili temps. The ballroom was transformed into such a delight! Tracy and Landon were surrounded with such a great group of family and friends! Caroline Hilty documented the event for Tracy and Landon. The day and night were great. We enjoyed working with this couple and we wish them a lifetime of happiness!!

Holly and Grant Deloach

What a great day for a wedding and what a beautiful wedding it was!! Holly and Grant Deloach chose the Westin Resort on Hutchinson Island as the spot where they would exchange their vows and host a great wedding reception. The guests gathered in the Harbor Ballroom for the elegant ceremony and then moved upstairs for a nice cocktail hour. At 7pm, they were welcomed into the ballroom for the reception and....WOW!! The entire room was uplit and there was a beautiful custom monogram displaying Holly and Grant's name--many thanks to Graceful Expressions for the design of that monogram. Holly and Grant shared their first dance and moved to a special dance between Grant and his mother and then Grant's father (also his Best Man) offered a toast to the newly married couple. A wonderful dinner was then served--great food and great service thanks to the hard work of Sarah Aliffi-Baez! The guests enjoyed hearing Holly and Grant's Love Story and the cutting of the wedding cake. Elegant lighting soon became fun, up-beat and really cool dance floor lighting--the whole crowd was motivated to dance the night away! Krisha Cravin was on hand to capture the night with amazing images! We look forward to keeping in touch with Grant, Holly and even Liz--Holly's mom. They are such a great family and we are honored to have spent the day with them!

Andrew and Margaret are from Baltimore, Maryland, and they brought their closest family and friends with them to Hilton Head to witness and celebrate their wedding. Palmetto Hall was the setting of the wedding ceremony as well as the reception. Jen Leiti and her staff offered wonderful food and service--as usual. It was a cold, brisk day, but that could not stop everyone's heart from being warmed as they witnessed Andrew and Margaret exchange vows on the lawn of Palmetto Hall. The guests then moved upstairs to the ballroom to enjoy food and drinks. The entire evening was set like an incredible cocktail party. Andrew and Margaret are both in the food and beverage industry, so they wanted their guests to enjoy! Andrew and Margaret are so sweet--they work together and they are both ready to start their family and make it truly a family-affair! We are thankful to have spent the day with them!

Elise and Kjell are such a fun couple!! They met as lifeguards on Hilton Head and they are still here—ok, there were lots of detours on the way, but they are still in Hilton Head, Kjell is a full-time lifeguard and now they are married!!! Elise and Kjell wanted to have a special place for their wedding and they searched the Island and found a great beach house on 5 Alder Lane. Maureen Cohen performed the beach ceremony and PortaParty provided the PA and music. Then, following the ceremony, the guests moved back to the house for cocktails and appetizers. Elise and Kjell spent some time having some FABULOUS photos made my Torrey and Tony from Mira Photography. When their photos were complete, Elise and Kjell had their “grand entrance” and then shared their first dance and husband and wife and then Elise shared a special dance with her dad—it was so cool because it started with “My Girl” and then moved into the Michigan Fight Song and then the Michigan State Fight song!! It is so cool to customize wedding receptions!! Dinner was then served and the toasts were presented—Elise and Kjell have some incredible orators in their list of family and friends!!! The love story was also presented and all of the guests learned that Kjell bought Elise and engagement ring from WalMart!! He really did—but only because the AMAZING ring that was being designed for her was not ready when he was ready to propose!! There are always really cool stories that we learn about our couples! Elise and Kjell did not want to do a “normal” bouquet toss, so they had all of the guests come out to the dance floor and they tossed out lottery tickets!!! Of course, Calloway’s “I wanna be rich” was playing in the background!! Their crowd was so much fun!! Dancing, fun, dancing, fun was how the night was!! Ice cream paint job had the crowd fired up!! It was a great night and we are so happy that Elise and Kjell are local, so we can actually see them again! Gina Dunn was on site to organize and coordinate all aspects of the wedding day and she was beyond phenomenal!!! It was just a perfect day and we are honored to have been part of it!!

Port Royal Clubhouse was the beautiful scene for Alison and Dave's wedding. The rains stopped and the ceremony was held outside on the lawn--what a beautiful setting it is! The guests then moved into the patio area and the dining area for drinks and passed appetizers. Soon dinner was served and then the dancing began. Alison and David were surrounded by their closest family and friends for their very special day. They are such a sweet couple--it was obvious that David wanted to make sure that his new wife had the wedding day of her dreams and we are so happy to have been part of that! We were blessed to share some time with Phillip and Terry Lee (our former pastor and his wife) because Phillip performed the ceremony. Jen Leiti and the entire crew at Port Royal Club took care of all of the details for the night. And did we mention the cake? We met Blythe and Phil so long ago--they have been planning this wedding for a long time and everything really came together perfectly!! Of course, Sebrell Smith and her team had a lot to do with that! The incredible Telfair Museum was the site for the cocktail hour and the reception. The guests first gathered in sculpture gallery downstairs for cocktails and then moved upstairs to the Rotunda for the reception. We have been preparing for Louise and Rick's wedding for so long--it is hard to believe the day has actually come! Louise and Rick are such a great couple! They have been planning this wedding and they really wanted every detail to be just perfect for their family and friends. They really had an All-Star Wedding Cast to help make that happen--Jackie Lacey was the coordinator and designer; Frances and Scott Moody were the photographers; Maureen Cohen was the officiant; and Jen Leiti was the event coordinator from Port Royal. We met with Louise and Rick several times during their engagement and worked on setting an agenda that really fit in to how they wanted their wedding day to be organized. We provided microphones for the ceremony (Maureen always loves when we mic her!) and also had entertaining music for the cocktail hour on the deck, and then had the main set up in the dining room. The ceremony was beautiful, the cocktails were enjoyable, the dinner was fabulous and the dancing was incredible. Thanks to Facebook and Divine Intervention, Alicia and Mark found each other!! Alicia and Mark knew each other for a few years through mutual friends at church, but through the "magic" of Facebook, Alicia and Mark really "met" each other. They decided to go on a date and that was it--they knew that there was a strong feeling for each other that neither had ever had for anyone else!! They nurtured their relationship and have chosen to love each other--forever! Alicia and Mark selected the Plantation Room at Skidaway Island as their reception site. It is a beautiful room--with A/C since it is August in Savannah--and the view is awesome!!! Alicia and Mark had a great wedding party made up of their dearest family and friends and the couple's desire was that everyone have a good time. In fact, in the words of Mark, "I wanna dance my bootie off!!" ....and that they did!! The crowd was a lot of fun and really did come to celebrate such a beautiful day. Kara and Matt wanted a wedding where there guests were entertained in a simply elegant way, so an obvious choice for a reception site was Port Royal Club. Jen Leiti and the entire staff were on top of all details as usual! Kara and Matt had a beautiful Old South wedding ceremony at the Methodist church in Old Bluffton on the banks of the May River. Then, their guests were shuttled to Port Royal for a relaxing cocktail hour. The guests were then invited into the dining room and both Kara and Matt's parents were introduced and then the guests of honor, Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Bagin, were introduced to their family and friends!! The couple shared a first dance and then the crowd enjoyed a great dinner! Throughout dinner, the honor attendants offered toasts to the Bagins and Kara and Matt also shared special dances with their parents. Following dinner, the PARTY started!! The ladies were offered complimentary flip flops so their feet could do some serious moves on the dance floor (safely!). Brent Nelsen documented the day with video and Scott and Frances Moody documented the day with photos that we are sure Kara and Matt will cherish forever. Every wedding reception that we are blessed to be a part of teaches us new and valuable lessons and Kara and Matt's was no different. ...From the Garden State to the Palmetto State...Kelly and Mike are the sweetest couple!! When we met them last year, Mike told us that music and entertainment were the most important aspects of their reception, so we knew we were going to have a good time!! Mike helped give us great ideas for music through out the night, and basically the crowd danced and had a good time to everything from Motown Philly to Frank Sinatra to Bon Jovi! We were even able to honor Mike's parents' 50th anniversary with a special dance. ...and the West Virginia crowd went WILD when we played Country Roads!

What could be more fun than spending the 4th of July at beautiful Berkeley Hall Club? We were blessed enough to serve the members and their guests in several capacities. First, there was a family-friendly pool party with lots of good food and games and waterslides! Then, later in the afternoon the clubhouse was host to nearly 400 members and guests who enjoyed a delicious dinner, fun music, a bounce house and an incredible fireworks display--check out the video! It was truly a time when you knew how proud you were to be an American! And the RED, WHITE and BLUE lighting on the columns of the Clubhouse were pretty cool!! Maren Woskow and Michael Krause and the entire staff at Berkeley Hall were amazing and we truly look forward to the next time we can work with them again!

Beth and Chad have to be one of the cutest couples EVER!! Amanda Spencer of Spencer Special Events contacted us about providing entertainment at Beth and Chad's wedding and she said we would just love them--she was right!! They are just precious and so happy! The Westin Resort on Hilton Head Island was where Beth and Chad selected their beach wedding and their tropical paradise reception. Ches Ney and her staff were excellent, as usual! Beth and Chad had a 5pm wedding ceremony and they kicked it off with Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffet's version of "It's 5 o'clock somewhere!" The first time I ever spoke to Heather, I knew that I liked her--she had the greatest accent ever! Then, we met Heather and Jon in person and we knew they were fabulous! Heather and Jon live in North Carolina and wanted to have a beach wedding, so Hilton Head was their choice! The Hilton Resort's ShoreHouse was a great selection for their ceremony and reception--it has a great view of the dunes and the beach and always has a nice ocean breeze (even on a hot July day!). Heather and Jon had a beautiful and worshipful ceremony and had great pastors and mentors there with them. Then, Heather and Jon wanted their reception to be fun and entertaining for their guests--and they did it!! There were fun, scripted introductions for the wedding party and parents. Heather signed a beautiful song to her new husband--it was truly incredible! Then, the real fun began--Heather's girlfriends perfomed some skits to great, fun music. This has been a tradition at all of their weddings! And then--as if there needed to be more--Heather, Jon, Jody and Nancy performed a dance-off that consisted of the "hook" part of about 17 different songs--it was GREAT!! Michelle from Galyean's Gallery was there to document the entire event. We know that Heather and Jon will have a long and very blessed life together and we are so happy to have been a part of it!
Thank you both for all the hard work that you did for our wedding. It was amazing! Everyone had a great time and said it was the best wedding and party they have ever been to. Harbourtown, Sea Pines, SC--it is a classic scene! The yachts, the lighthouse and beautiful Calibogue Sound! This was the location of Megan and TJ's ceremony--it was beautiful and hot! It was truly one of the hottest days so far this season, but the ceremony was short and sweet and then the fun began! Following the ceremony, the guests headed to the Plantation Club for drinks, appetizers and some AC. Once Megan and TJ arrived at the Club, the guests were invited into the ballroom so that they could be introduced to the wedding party--that was fun! Megan had selected a fun song for each couple--the wedding party played it up and the guests loved it!! Following the welcome and the toasts, the guests enjoyed an incredible dinner. Diane Hardy and the staff at Sea Pines Resort out-did theirselves with service and the food! During dinner, the guests enjoyed hearing Megan and TJ's love story, especially about the unique and special way that they met! The guests danced the night away and Megan and TJ ended their night with Last Dance. We enjoyed the "rush" meeting of Megan and TJ and her parents--they met us at San Miguels Restaurant when they arrived on the Island and we were able to finalize all aspects of the agenda for the evening. Megan and TJ are young and fun and they are going to have a long, happy life ahead of them!!

It just could not have been any better! Sonya and Rick wanted a small, intimate wedding and their wish was granted! The Cabana Deck of the Hilton Resort was the perfect choice--it overlooks the ocean and dunes. Alison Ward and the staff at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort provided an incredible dinner--you can NEVER go wrong with steak and lobster!! Sonya and Rick shared a sweet first dance and then they cut their cake--they shared their wedding cake with their son Jacob, who happened to be celebrating his 2nd birthday!! The crowd wanted to spend the night enjoying each other's company and the incredible scenery. We were so happy to be part of Sonya, Rick and Jacob's special day! They are a beautiful family!

It's all about the starfish!! Vonda and Terry were married at the Dunes House in Palmetto Dunes with some of their closest family and friends in attendance and their theme was the starfish! They made a starfish Christmas ornament for each family and Vonda gave Starfish necklaces to each of her attendants. Vonda and Terry had their dream beach wedding, officiated by Maureen Cohen and then Nicole Guy and her staff at the Dunes House served an incredible dinner! Following dinner, the guests were ready to dance--and so was the bride!! Dancing under the stars with the ocean breeze blowing--this was truly paradise! Jade McCully was on hand to document the wedding with photography--there is no doubt she took some great shots that Vonda and Terry will enjoy for years to come. We were thrilled to be part of Vonda and Terry's special day and we hope to see them when they come back to Hilton Head to celebrate their anniversary!!

Chelsea and Jay Adams--what a fun couple! We met Chelsea and Jay several months ago and really just "clicked" with them! They are a fun-loving couple and really wanted to hire an entertainer who could give them and their friends a great party--we were excited to be part of that! Chelsea and Jay selected the Westin Resort on Hutchinson Island for their reception--that happens to be the site of their engagement as well!! Jason and Lauren's wedding has been a production in the making for more than 6 months--and it all came together! Jason and Lauren met in Ohio at a lifeguard training class and then ironically, they both ended up with lifeguard jobs in Hilton Head, South Carolina! They have been together ever since--and that was eight years ago! Fittingly enough, Jason proposed to Lauren right here in Hilton Head, so it was just part of a greater plan that they would have a beach wedding here in Hilton Head! The Hilton Shorehouse was the perfect spot for a beach wedding and an ocean-front reception and of course, Alison Ward and the entire staff were wonderful. Jason and Lauren planned every aspect of their wedding--even to the finest detail! Flowers, decor, lighting and entertainment were terribly important to Jason and Lauren and Jason was such a great groom!! He was so involved in helping plan and orchestrate this entire event! A Floral Affair provided beautiful flowers and an incredibly cool moss-effect for the bar. Low Country Lights developed a design plan with Jason and Lauren for more than 100 Asian Lanterns to be hung in three different spots of the ShoreHouse. Low Country Lights also up-lit the really cool bar! Jason and Lauren had their beautiful beach wedding and then the fun began!! The guests shared cocktails, great food, and then dancing, dancing, and more dancing! There are just some couples that touch you, and Amy and Mike are one of those couples. They are just so much fun and have such gentle spirits. I have been talking to Amy for about a year. She first called to inquire about our services and decided that she was going to continue to look around for an entertainment company. So, that is what she did! Finally, she called me a few weeks later and said, "OK, I am going to hire you because every where I go and everyone I talk to tells me that I need to book you!" What a blessing for us! I met Amy and Mike in October and I knew they were going to be fun. For one thing, their entire wedding party was going to rent a beach house for the entire week--they basically were all coming on vacation together and then oh yeah, we'll throw in a wedding!! During our planning times, I knew Amy and Mike would be a lot of fun and just so easy to please! Amy invited our entire family to their cook-out at the beach house the Sunday before their wedding. I reminded Amy that we have THREE kiddos, but she insisted that we come over! We did go and we had a great time getting to know all of their family and friends! Amy and Mike's wedding day came and you could not have dreamed that the weather could be so bad! Seriously, wind, rain and bitterly cold in May, for goodness sake!! Not to worry--Amy and Mike and their family and friends made the most of it. Alison and the staff at the Hilton took care of everything!! They put the sides down at the ShoreHouse--it really helped with the wind, but you could still see the ocean!! They brought in heaters and lit a fire in the fireplace. Amy and Mike got married and had a great time with their family and friends--that is why they came here and they were not going to let the weather dampen their spirits!! We just love them and their spirit!

Justin and Corrinne Cunningham

We met Justin and Corrinne last year when they were still trying to decide where to have their wedding! It is so cool when we meet couples and walk the whole way with them!! Jason and Corrinne made all of their plans and believe it or not, Justin was a very helpful groom. He is a big, burly firefighter, but he really cared about their wedding day and he wanted to make sure Corrinne had all that she wanted (awww....). Justin and Corrinne planned their wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at Colleton River Club. If you have never seen the view from Colleton River Club, well, you are really missing out! It is beyond gorgeous!! That was the backdrop for Justin and Corrinne's wedding ceremony--breathtaking!! And speaking of breathtaking, Corrinne was gorgeous! She is such a pretty girl on a regular day, but she outdid herself on her wedding day! After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed appetizers and cocktails on the back deck of the clubhouse while La Bella Vita took some amazing photos. The guests were then invited into the dining area to enjoy the introduction of Justin and Corrinne's wedding party and then the introduction of the bride and groom and their first dance as husband and wife--those dance lessons really paid off!! While the guests enjoyed their delicious dinner, they heard Justin and Corrinne's sweet love story and shared in toasting the Cunninghams! And don't forget the cake--Sheri's Edible Designs provided a beautiful AND delicious cake! After the "formalities" were finished, the dance floor quickly filled with fun-loving guests. You see--Justin is a firefighter and firefighters put their lives on the line every day, but when they are ready to have fun--WATCH OUT!!! They are a crazy bunch!! As the reception wound down, Justin and Corrinne shared a last dance and then their family and friends sent them off through sparklers--can't wait to see those photos!!

I just wanted to say that you two did a wonderful job and made our night very special. The two of you work well together and have a great team going. I wish you the best of luck for the future months in the busy wedding season.

Overlooking the dunes into the Atlantic Ocean--beautiful scenery for a beautiful wedding! This is what Jason and Jill Bohan selected for their wedding day. Jason and Jill's wedding rounded out a 3-wedding weekend for us! It could have been exhausting, but Jason and Jill's enthusiasm kept us excited! Jason and Jill have been together for a long time and they knew they wanted to get married in a unique setting, so they selected the Hilton Resort in Hilton Head. Jason and Jill spent a good bit of time thinking about music and putting a list of songs together--and that was fun for us! This was the first time we had worked with her and we are already excited about the opportunity to do it again. We have had a sneak peek and there are good things to come! Working with Jamie and Liz really was the highlight of our wedding planning. Stephanie and Tucker--what a beautiful couple! Like many couples from Ohio, Stephanie and Tucker decided to get married in Hilton Head. They held their ceremony at Holy Family and then later in the afternoon, Stephanie and Tucker joined their guests at Port Royal Clubhouse. Stephanie and Tucker and their wedding party were introduced into the clubhouse and then their honor attendants offered toasts to the newly married couple. After the toasts, dinner was served and as usual, Jen Leiti and the staff at Port Royal Clubhouse offered great service and food! During dinner, the crowd enjoyed hearing Stephanie and Tucker's Love Story. Following dinner, Stephanie and Tucker cut their wedding cake and shared their first dance and a special family dance. Then...the dance floor was open! The crowd came to have a good time--they truly danced the night away! Stephanie and Tucker have been together since their college days, so this was truly a celebration for their family and friends. After lots of dancing, Stephanine and Tucker shared a last dance and then were sent off through sparklers. Landon Jacobs was there to document the wedding day of Stephanie and Tucker. We look forward to hearing about the blessings that Stephanie and Tucker have ahead of them.

Another beautiful day at the Westin! Meredith and Jason selected a great day to get married! The weather was gorgeous! Meredith and Jason had their ceremony on the beach deck of the Westin--what a view! They looked over beautiful palms and the ocean as they exchanged their vows. The guests stayed on the beach deck for cocktails and appetizers following the ceremony while Meredith and Jason took some great beach photos with their photographer Wille J. Rice. The guests then moved to the Pavilion and welcomed the new Mr. and Mrs. Hinzman! Low Country Lights provided uplighting throughout the Pavilion as well as Asian lanterns over the dance floor. A Floral Affair outdid themselves this time with the flowers--they were beyond incredible! Ches Ney and her staff provided great service and a great dinner. After the toasts and the special dances, the crowd was ready to party--really, they were ready to party! They were so much fun! They danced the night away. The evening ended with Meredith and Jason sharing a last dance with each other and their family and friends to Michael Buble's version of Save the Last Dance for Me. We were thrilled to be part of Meredith and Jason's special day and we look forward to hearing about the great things that the future holds for their family! ...and how about the full moon over the ocean--does it get any better than that???

Nicole and Jimmy Jenkins are such a wonderful couple. We first met on the phone and really just "clicked!" Nicole said that she and Jimmy had a Halloween party and that the DJ/Entertainer really made the night great. So, of course, they really wanted quality entertainment for their wedding. Nicole and Jimmy decided to make a trip to Hilton Head to nail down some wedding plans, so we met them on Valentine's Day. We had such a great time! We talked and got to know each other for a couple of hours in the Westin lobby! We knew their wedding day was going to be such a pleasure!

Nicole and Jimmy's wedding day was incredible! First, the day was beautiful--especially for a beach wedding!! Following the ceremony, the guests were welcomed to the Gazebo Deck and enjoyed appetizers and cocktails and fun, island music. The guests were then invited into the Gazebo Room for the formal reception. Jackie Lacey served as wedding coordinator and did the design work in the room. As usual, Jackie did an amazing job. The room was fabulous! Ches Ney and her staff from The Westin Spa and Resort provided a great dinner and service. Scott and Francis Moody from Pro Photo were there to capture the day for Nicole and Jimmy.

Jimmy thanked the guests for making the effort to be at the wedding and he also made a special announcement--he and Nicole are going to be parents! They are so thrilled to start their family and their friends were thrilled as well!

After dinner, the crowd enjoyed dancing and enjoying each other's company. Low Country Lights provided fun, cool lighting to set the mood. Nicole and Jimmy's first dance was to Love Story by Third Day, so they decided to end their reception with a last dance to You Shook me all Night Long by AC/DC--just an example of the wide range of musical tastes for Nicole and Jimmy!

We had a great time Friday and we look forward to hearing about Nicole and Jimmy and Baby Jenkins!

Carlie and Adam have been a part of our lives for nearly a year! As soon as they got engaged in 2008, they started working on their plans and we were one of the first vendors they selected. So, we have been able to get to know them and love them--they are fantastic!! They live in Augusta, Georgia, but decided that a beach house wedding in Hilton Head would be how they would get married. In fact, it would be how they got engaged as well! You see, they were vacationing in Hilton Head last year and decided to look at beach houses for an upcoming vacation/wedding. They found the perfect house on the beach in Sea Pines and on the second story balcony is where Adam proposed to Carlie. The perfect team to help make a beach house wedding come to fruition is Celebration Events. Molly, from Celebration Events was a joy to work with and helped make the ceremony and the dinner run without a glitch! To capture photos for the evening, the husband/wife team of Landon Jacobs was selected. They have got to be the nicest couple ever--and their photography is incredible!! The weather was perfect and the crowd was ready to have a good time after they had been fed, so they danced to their favorite songs around the pool area--how perfect is that?? Carlie even saw a part of Adam that she had never seen---he knows every word to Jump Around by House of Pain!! What fun! As the sun went down, Low Country Lights provided incredible effects to enhance the already beautiful scene. Carlie and Adam's wedding day was so much fun and we were thrilled to be a part of it. They are such a fun, energetic couple and we look forward to catching up with them as they travel back to Hilton Head for their vacations.

Jennifer and Trey were such a fun couple! We don't know what they were doing right, but Mother Nature was smiling on them! It could not have been a more perfect day for weather! This was a wedding that has been waiting to happen since Leslie and Bray were in 9th grade!! Leslie and Bray were high school sweethearts and college sweethearts (Go Gators!!). More than 100 of Leslie and Bray's closest family and friends made the trip to Hilton Head Island to be part of this wonderful celebration. Jen Leiti and the staff at Port Royal Club put on another fabulous event. Their service is great and their food is incredible. Caroline Nicole traveled from Florida to photograph and document Leslie and Bray's wedding. The weather was a roller coaster ride all week long for Leslie and Bray, but a little rain and wind could not dampen the spirits of this crowd! By the way, Florida Gators know how to have a good time!! The crowd enjoyed watching all of the special dances, listening to the toasts and the love story, and then they were ready to dance the night away!
Leslie and Bray ended the night with a fun dance to Michael Buble's version of Save the Last Dance for Me and then they rocked out the Florida Gator Fight Song. The crowd said good-night to Leslie and Bray through a line of sparklers! Leslie and Bray are a fantastic couple who have a long and happy life ahead of them. They have a great support system of family and friends and we look forward to hearing about the great life they are going to have together!

Sacha and Eric were such a great couple!! Sacha started planning this wedding last year and her attention to detail was evident! Sacha and Eric live in Atlanta, Georgia, but selected the incredible Wexford Plantation on Hilton Head Island for their wedding ceremony and reception. Nick Vasil from Wexford was incredible in his planning and organizing. We worked with him for some last minute changes in our set-up because the wind was blowing off the water on the marina--we needed some protection under that tent!! Maureen Cohen performed a beautiful ceremony that was custom-made for this couple. Classic Party Rentals had the tent, table and chairs looking fantastic (as always!). Following the formalities of the evening, the crowd was ready to party!! They were a crowd that every entertainer dreams about--they were fun, lively and full of energy!! Sacha and Eric are a beautiful couple and they could really teach the world a few lessons--instead of focusing on differences, they are a couple who focuses on their similarities. Mardi Gras Party in the Alley

What a great party and what a great cause!!! Lee Cheeks has been hosting a party to raise funds for the Savannah River Cancer Foundation for several years and this year was incredible. The party was moved to the Municipal Building in the Alley and there is really no better place to have a party!! The menu was prepared by the Deft Chef and consisted of authentic Cajun cuisine and it was incredible! Low Country Lights set the mood with some Mardi Gras lighting and we played Zydeco music for the crowd. So many great vendors donated excellent prizes for the auction. The auctioneer was so much fun and the crowd had a great time battling it out. We were thrilled to be part of such a great event and we look forward to next year.

Christine and Jared McElroy--our first wedding of the 2009 season and they kicked it off with a BANG!! Christine and Jared have an amazing story!! They met just over a year ago on eHarmony and they knew they would marry immediately!! So, their dating life has basically been a preparation to their wedding!! Jared is a youth pastor and he was determined to save kissing on the lips for his wedding day. Jennifer and Peter--what a couple!! We first met Jennifer and Peter several months ago. They had so many questions and ideas and we were thrilled to think that we would be part of their special day. Jennifer and Peter showed their true colors when their venue was changed just a few weeks prior to their wedding date!! Yep, that's the truth--they had to find an entirely new place for their ceremony, cocktail hour and reception!! Fortunately, Jill O'Boyle at Champions Ballroom was able to step in and take care of Jennifer and Peter. They had a great ceremony at the terrace at the Inn at Sea Pines--the rain held off and the weather was gorgeous! The guests moved into the foyer and enjoyed a cocktail hour and then the ballroom was open for Jennifer and Peter's grand entrance. Jennifer and Peter danced around and had a great time to a Lyle Lovett tune. Jennifer then danced with her dad to a sweet song and then broke out into "Mustang Sally!" They thrilled the crowd! Katey and Patrick had their ceremony in the chapel overlooking the beautiful May River. Following the ceremony the crowd ventured to the Golf Grill pack porch. Katey and Patrick were introduced and went to the golf green to do their first dance--how cool!!! We enjoyed meeting with Katey and Patrick several months ago. Gretchen and Gus are one wild couple!! Well, Gus is wild and Gretchen just cleans up after him! Gretchen and Gus live in Arizona with Gus' sons, but they decided to have their wedding in Hilton Head. The ShoreHouse at the Hilton Resort hosted a great party--Alison Ward and her crew are always spectacular! Gretchen and Gus exchanged their vows on the beach and then their guests enjoyed cocktails at the ShoreHouse. Gretchen and Gus entered their reception with a Bang--they were announced and then shared their beautiful first dance and then the boys joined them for a quick dance to Apache--it was awesome!! The love story for Gretchen and Gus was quite interesting--Gus had his own version, some of it was even based on fact! Gretchen and Gus and their guests had a great time dancing and enjoying a beautiful South Carolina night. It was a pleasure to work with Mark and Lisa Staff again--they will provide incredible photographic memories for Gretchen and Gus. Gretchen and Gus ended their night with a special dance to Let's Get it On and then the party continued in the Hilton XO Lounge. Andrea and Ed are such a fun couple! Every time we met with them we had a hard time staying focused on wedding stuff because we were so busy gabbing about everything else! Andrea and Ed have known each other since college but never dated! ...until about a year ago and then it was LIGHTS OUT!!! Soon, they were engaged and now they are married. Andrea and Ed selected the amazing Westin Spa and Resort on HHI to host their wedding reception and as usual, everything was amazing. Maureen Cohen was an excellent officiant on the beach--right where Andrea and Ed got engaged in fact!! Gregg Flory served as photographer for the evening and we are quite sure that he captured some amazing shots from the entire night. Liz and Ryan--they are so great! They knew they wanted to have a very detailed reception and we really tried to work hard for them. We did scripted intros for their wedding party--they were a fun crew and they were so cool with Ryan and Liz poking a little fun at them. In addition, each bridesmaid/groomsman couple had their own TV theme song that Liz and Ryan selected for them. We also did separate photo montages for the father/daughter dance, the mother/son dance and the surprise bouquet presentation to Liz's mom. Ches at The Westin Hilton Head set up a great site for Liz and Ryan's ceremony. We were thrilled to work with Jen at Port Royal Club. They hosted a great cocktail time and reception. And, of course, John Brackett and Brent Nelson were spot-on for photography and videography! Liz and Ryan have been together since their college days at Clemson and they moved to the Hilton Head area about five years ago. We are thrilled that they live here in our home town, so hopefully we will see them again and can stay in touch!!

We were thrilled to work with Tara and Michael--we provided custom lighting with Low Country Lights http://www.lowcountrylights.com/ and an awesome monogram. Jackie Lacey was incredible as their wedding coordinator--he is always on top of things and just perfect!! Tara and Michael brought a group of family and friends who were ready to have a good time--those Virginia Tech fans sure do know how to PARTY!!! We know Tara and Michael will have a long, happy life together!

Brian and Holly Lutz

Brian and Holly Lutz--they are awesome!! We have been talking with Brian for several months, so it was such a joy to see this wedding come together. What a whirlwind for this couple--they had to evacuate their home two weeks before their wedding because Gustav was on his way. They spent time with friends and family in Georgia, so some of the wedding stress was relieved. They then made their way to Hilton Head the week before the wedding. There was a great cast of professionals who really helped make this wedding so great. Maureen Cohen was the officiant and she was awesome. A Floral Affair provided incredible decor and flowers. Shelly Hutchinson and Brent Nelson were there to record the memories for Brian and Holly. And what can we say about the Westin they provided another amazing event! Again, we were so honored to be part of Brian and Holly's special day and we also enjoyed getting to know their families in the process. Holly's father was so kind and sent us a sweet email several days after the wedding:

Hi Liz and JamieJamie - I'm sorry I didn't get to see you at the end of the evening - everything was so hectic when the reception ended. I wanted to thank you for the great job you did during the reception. Everything for the wedding went better than we expected - and you were a huge part of that. The music was perfect as was all of your commentary (especially their story). I especially loved "Hang on Sloopy" to start and "Firecracker" to end the night. If you worked in our area (Ohio) - I would gladly recommend you to anyone needing a DJ.Thank you again for helping to make the night a huge success.Steve (and Jan)

Vanessa and Reese Rudder

Vanessa and Reese--what can we say? Reese is a party animal!! That man would have danced all night if Vanessa would have let him. They are a great couple--they have been together for a long time and have survived many storms. They are going to have a great life together! Vanessa and Reese decided to have their ceremony on the beach and then they came into Port Royal Beach House for their reception. They had a crowd that was ready to party! Planning with Vanessa and Reese was so much fun--Reese had so many fun ideas about music. He had us reminising in the "old school." We are so honored to have been part of their day!

Laura and Matt Frater

Laura and Matt waited so long for this day and we hope it was perfect for them!!! They are a great couple with a really cute son, Will. Laura and Matt got married at the incredible Spanish Wells Club--what a view! The Calibogue Sound is one of my favorite places in the world! Laura and Matt had a great line-up of friends and family that "toasted" them and they shared in some special dances with their family. After enjoying a great dinner and a group photo on the dock, the crowd was ready to dance the night away--what a fun crowd!!! We sent Laura and Matt off to enjoy a great week-long honeymoon!

Oh wow!! What a wedding! We met Carla via telephone several months ago--what a brave bride. She planned her wedding from across the country in a place where she had NEVER been. The first time she saw Hilton Head was the week before her wedding. Jennifer at Port Royal Plantation put on a great event. We have several events there in the future and I am sure they will all be incredible. Bill Nixon of Coastal Videography was great to work with again and White Rose Studios provided photography for the day. Carla and Jamie had a great time and their family and friends were so much fun. We even had a celebrity show up--Kermit D Frog made an appearance! This crowd danced and had a ball--they were so much fun and made our job easy.

Another great event at the Hilton Resort in Hilton Head! Alison and her crew really know how to step up and create a great time. The garden area was beautiful and so was Jaclyn! She and Jose are such a great couple--they had such a great Love Story! We helped edit the song that they did their first dance to (Got it right this time by Keith Urban). They took lessons and it really showed--they had a terrific time dancing together. John Brackett was again a true pleasure! He is an exceptional photograher, but more importantly a terrific guy. We were thrilled to hear from Jaclyn's dad Monday morning after the wedding--he wanted to call and personally thank us for Saturday night. What a great feeling that was! We aim to please and it is so nice when we hear that we were successful! Jaclyn and Jose stayed in Hilton Head for another week to celebrate their honeymoon--they have already decided that they are coming back here for their one year anniversary and we will make sure we see them and catch up! Below you will find an email that we received from Jaclyn and Jose when they returned home from their honeymoon.
We had a terrific day! The weather was perfect and we enjoyed every minute...what's better is...we remember all of it!! Jamie...you did such a fantastic job, we are so thankfully and grateful for all your hard work. I hope you had a great time, as well! Well, things here are busy as usual! We bought our first home before the wedding, and we close on it tomorrow. So, I have been changing addresses, changing my name and packing all week! We have already decided that we are going to spend our anniversary in HH next summer...so we would love to see you guys again! Liz, I had so much fun planning our reception with you and chatting on the phone and on-line! I'm really going to miss you! So, you guys both take care and keep in touch! Wow, another great reception at the Shore House. I am not sure why but this venue continues to produce some of the best receptions that I am honored to host. I am sure that the fact that we had a great couple to work with was our biggest key to success. It didn't hurt that they hired great support staff that had one common goal, to lift up Chris and Ashley and make sure that their wedding was all that they had ever hoped.

Chris and Ashley are just really fun people and their reception held true to their personalities. They chose to have scripted introductions for their wedding party. Ashley, being the beautiful person that she is was kind to each of her attendants and shared great stories and memories of each. Chris being the guy that he is chose to put in just a little dig as each of his groomsman were introduced. Their love story was filled with touching, funny, informative details about how they became a couple and how their lives had progressed to their wedding day.

They danced the night away and everyone had a great time. Once again, we are honored to work with a great couple and a great crowd. Many thanks to Allison at the shorehouse, Bill Nixon of Coastal Videography, and Josie Martin photography.

Dearest Liz and Jamie,

Thank you with our entire hearts for creating such a personal feel to our wedding day. People could not stop talking about how they laughed and cried during the scripted introductions. Especially the people we chose to be a part of our wedding. They felt so special and the people at our wedding got a sense of who they were and why we chose them to be in our wedding.

The love story that Jamie read...My favorite part of the reception!!!

Writing it was totally your idea and Chris and I were a little hesitant about telling our story due to some parts that we are not so proud of (ext. making out on the dance floor, breaking up before getting serious, etc.). But you both made it sound sooooo romantic and funny, you made even the embarrassing parts sound loving and our story was beautiful. Looking at Chris as Jamie read our story made me cry tears of joy and my heart was so happy as I listened to our long journey to where we had ended up. I felt like the most blessed person in the world and I relived how much gratitude I owe to God for being able to marry the man of my dreams.

Also, many of our Aunts and Uncles were so happy that they got to hear our story- they said, "Wow, we never knew how you met and it was so nice to learn all of those details about how we came to be here." They also learned why we chose HHI for our wedding destination and had a greater love for HHI as we do:-)

Most importantly, I would like to thank you for the "Flow" of the evening. We had 2 couples with upcoming weddings writing down the schedule of events because everything flowed so well. That was all you, Jamie and Liz, you guys are experts at knowing when to schedule dances, pictures,cake cutting, ect. down to the minute so that we could make the very most out of the 4 short hours we had to party. Our wedding was PERFECT!!!! And most of it had to do with you! My husband, Chris, said it best... "You can do without the prettiest flowers, the best photographer, or the best weather BUT you have to have a great DJ to get the mood and fun started and we had the VERY Best!"

You were worth every penny and if we had too we would pay you double! We didn't realize how much you had to do with making our day so great until the day of the wedding! But now we recognize and speak your praises everywhere we go!

We love you both for being such an intricate part of our Wedding Bliss. We will call you next summer when we are in town for our Anniversary in hopes of meeting up for a drink or a boat ride! What an awesome couple with a great wedding story. Over the months of planning we have gotten to know Matt and Julie very well. They have been to our house, been out on the boat with us and we have spent quality time just hanging out on several occasions. These are truly two special people.

The Reception

Matt and Julie pulled out all the stops for their reception. We provided uplighting for the ball room at the Country Club of Hilton Head, we projected their monogram on the ceiling (shown above). Julie and Matt opted for almost every option and trick that we have available
