Leslie and Bray McMillan

Leslie and Bray

This was a wedding that has been waiting to happen since Leslie and Bray were in 9th grade!! Leslie and Bray were high school sweethearts and college sweethearts (Go Gators!!). More than 100 of Leslie and Bray's closest family and friends made the trip to Hilton Head Island to be part of this wonderful celebration. Jen Leiti and the staff at Port Royal Club put on another fabulous event. Their service is great and their food is incredible. Caroline Nicole traveled from Florida to photograph and document Leslie and Bray's wedding. The weather was a roller coaster ride all week long for Leslie and Bray, but a little rain and wind could not dampen the spirits of this crowd! By the way, Florida Gators know how to have a good time!! The crowd enjoyed watching all of the special dances, listening to the toasts and the love story, and then they were ready to dance the night away!
Leslie and Bray ended the night with a fun dance to Michael Buble's version of Save the Last Dance for Me and then they rocked out the Florida Gator Fight Song. The crowd said good-night to Leslie and Bray through a line of sparklers! Leslie and Bray are a fantastic couple who have a long and happy life ahead of them. They have a great support system of family and friends and we look forward to hearing about the great life they are going to have together!

Thank you so much we had an amazing time and everybody thought you were awesome including Bray and I! You made our day very special!

Sacha and Eric Turpin

Sacha and Eric were such a great couple!! Sacha started planning this wedding last year and her attention to detail was evident! Sacha and Eric live in Atlanta, Georgia, but selected the incredible Wexford Plantation on Hilton Head Island for their wedding ceremony and reception. Nick Vasil from Wexford was incredible in his planning and organizing. We worked with him for some last minute changes in our set-up because the wind was blowing off the water on the marina--we needed some protection under that tent!! Maureen Cohen performed a beautiful ceremony that was custom-made for this couple. Classic Party Rentals had the tent, table and chairs looking fantastic (as always!). Following the formalities of the evening, the crowd was ready to party!! They were a crowd that every entertainer dreams about--they were fun, lively and full of energy!! Sacha and Eric are a beautiful couple and they could really teach the world a few lessons--instead of focusing on differences, they are a couple who focuses on their similarities. We look forward to hearing from Sacha and Eric as they grow old together!

Mardi Gras Party in the Alley

What a great party and what a great cause!!! Lee Cheeks has been hosting a party to raise funds for the Savannah River Cancer Foundation for several years and this year was incredible. The party was moved to the Municipal Building in the Alley and there is really no better place to have a party!! The menu was prepared by the Deft Chef and consisted of authentic Cajun cuisine and it was incredible! Low Country Lights set the mood with some Mardi Gras lighting and we played Zydeco music for the crowd. So many great vendors donated excellent prizes for the auction. The auctioneer was so much fun and the crowd had a great time battling it out. We were thrilled to be part of such a great event and we look forward to next year.

Christine and Jared McElroy

Christine and Jared McElroy--our first wedding of the 2009 season and they kicked it off with a BANG!! Christine and Jared have an amazing story!! They met just over a year ago on eHarmony and they knew they would marry immediately!! So, their dating life has basically been a preparation to their wedding!! Jared is a youth pastor and he was determined to save kissing on the lips for his wedding day. Christine was a somewhat willing partner--she really wanted to kiss this handsome man, but she was willing to wait!! Amazingly enough, they selected Give me a kiss to build a dream on by Louis Armstrong for their first dance--very appropriate!! The Morris Center in Savannah was such a great venue--so many opportunities to create true beauty!! Christine and her mom, Marianne did a lot of the decor and it rocked!! Christine's bridesmaid, Susie made the AMAZING wedding cake. The crowd enjoyed great food and then truly danced the night away--they were ready to celebrate this awesome marriage!! Christine and Jared ended the night with eHarmony's theme song Everlasting Love and left through sparklers. We will let you know when Christine and Jared's eHarmony commercial airs--there is no doubt they will have one!!

Quotes:

Jamie and Liz,
I want you to know how much we all appreciate your efforts in connection with Christine and Jared's wedding. IfI related all the wonderful feedback we received from many guests, I'm afraid your heads would get so big theymight explode!! Can't have that!! Marianne and I have been to many parties and receptions, and the mannerin which you blended the styles and tempos of music with the evolving activities throughout the evening wasincredible. The before and during dinner time was surrounded by soothing, uplifting and memorable favorites, and later the dance floor got hot has heck. Jamie the MC had the right words and humor for everything, and"the story" about Christine and Jared was beautifully shared.

To top all of that, Ms. Mail Lady delivered that awesome card!! You may not know it, but you captured an imagefor posterity that was truly unique---the Hedemark "finger flutter" move. I told Christine that I'd show off with one ofmy many moves during our dance (that really scared her cuz they're always so dorky), but obviously this time Dadand Christine really really hit a home run. I'd really appreciate it if you would email me the image.
Thanx again--you are both the BEST!!!
Fred

Jennifer and Peter Belmore

Jennifer and Peter--what a couple!! We first met Jennifer and Peter several months ago. They had so many questions and ideas and we were thrilled to think that we would be part of their special day. Jennifer and Peter showed their true colors when their venue was changed just a few weeks prior to their wedding date!! Yep, that's the truth--they had to find an entirely new place for their ceremony, cocktail hour and reception!! Fortunately, Jill O'Boyle at Champions Ballroom was able to step in and take care of Jennifer and Peter. They had a great ceremony at the terrace at the Inn at Sea Pines--the rain held off and the weather was gorgeous! The guests moved into the foyer and enjoyed a cocktail hour and then the ballroom was open for Jennifer and Peter's grand entrance. Jennifer and Peter danced around and had a great time to a Lyle Lovett tune. Jennifer then danced with her dad to a sweet song and then broke out into "Mustang Sally!" They thrilled the crowd! Dinner and dancing soon followed. Fabio Ventura took some incredible photos that Jennifer and Peter will treasure forever!

Kim and Ben Gibson

Kim and Ben were so much fun! They planned their wedding and reception at the beautiful Westin Resort and Spa on Hilton Head. The weather turned out to be a little icky, but that could not dampen Kim and Ben's spirit!! They "weathered the storm" and had a great time--that is truly the spirit of this couple. They love to travel and enjoy whatever life throws at them!! We look forward to keeping up with Kim and Ben and hearing about all of their adventures!

Katey and Patrick Harris

Katey and Patrick had such a gorgeous wedding. Seriously, is Palmetto Bluff the most beautiful place in the world?? Katey and Patrick had their ceremony in the chapel overlooking the beautiful May River. Following the ceremony the crowd ventured to the Golf Grill pack porch. Katey and Patrick were introduced and went to the golf green to do their first dance--how cool!!! We enjoyed meeting with Katey and Patrick several months ago. They had some great ideas about their ceremony and reception and we tried to make sure we made all of their dreams come true. Katey and Patrick will make their way back to Ohio, but we hope they will have a special place in their hearts for Bluffton and we hope they will keep in touch.
Hi Liz and Jamie
From Katie:
Thank you so much!! You guys did a fantastic job...you surpassed any expectations that we had. My dad (not a big fan of weddings) commented multiple times on how great Jamie's work was..especially the love story. I was wondering if it would be possible to get a copy of the story to put in our wedding memory book? Thanks again..if you need a reference let me know
Katey

Gretchen and Gus Dallman

Gretchen and Gus are one wild couple!! Well, Gus is wild and Gretchen just cleans up after him! Gretchen and Gus live in Arizona with Gus' sons, but they decided to have their wedding in Hilton Head. The ShoreHouse at the Hilton Resort hosted a great party--Alison Ward and her crew are always spectacular! Gretchen and Gus exchanged their vows on the beach and then their guests enjoyed cocktails at the ShoreHouse. Gretchen and Gus entered their reception with a Bang--they were announced and then shared their beautiful first dance and then the boys joined them for a quick dance to Apache--it was awesome!! The love story for Gretchen and Gus was quite interesting--Gus had his own version, some of it was even based on fact! Gretchen and Gus and their guests had a great time dancing and enjoying a beautiful South Carolina night. It was a pleasure to work with Mark and Lisa Staff again--they will provide incredible photographic memories for Gretchen and Gus. Gretchen and Gus ended their night with a special dance to Let's Get it On and then the party continued in the Hilton XO Lounge. We look forward to keeping in touch with Gretchen and Gus and we wish Gretchen best of luck with her three crazy men!!

Laura and Matt Wuller

We had a great time with Laura and Matt Wuller. Tracy Nadeau and her crew at Sea Pines Country Club put on an incredible party for Laura and Matt. The ceremony was beautiful--right outside over-looking the marsh. Even the rain held off for the the couple! Dinner was great and then the dancing began--let's just say that Matt has some moves!! He loves to dance and it was a pleasure to make him happy. Laura and Matt are local to the Hilton Head area, so we are excited about keeping in touch with them.

Andrea and Ed Evans

Andrea and Ed are such a fun couple! Every time we met with them we had a hard time staying focused on wedding stuff because we were so busy gabbing about everything else! Andrea and Ed have known each other since college but never dated! ...until about a year ago and then it was LIGHTS OUT!!! Soon, they were engaged and now they are married. Andrea and Ed selected the amazing Westin Spa and Resort on HHI to host their wedding reception and as usual, everything was amazing. Maureen Cohen was an excellent officiant on the beach--right where Andrea and Ed got engaged in fact!! Gregg Flory served as photographer for the evening and we are quite sure that he captured some amazing shots from the entire night. We are very excited that Andrea and Ed are locals so we will be able to keep up with them!

From Andrea

We had the best time! Thank you for making our reception so much fun-people are STILL telling us what a great time they had!
