Elise and Kjell Pederson

Elise and Kjell are such a fun couple!! They met as lifeguards on Hilton Head and they are still here—ok, there were lots of detours on the way, but they are still in Hilton Head, Kjell is a full-time lifeguard and now they are married!!! Elise and Kjell wanted to have a special place for their wedding and they searched the Island and found a great beach house on 5 Alder Lane. Maureen Cohen performed the beach ceremony and PortaParty provided the PA and music. Then, following the ceremony, the guests moved back to the house for cocktails and appetizers. Elise and Kjell spent some time having some FABULOUS photos made my Torrey and Tony from Mira Photography. When their photos were complete, Elise and Kjell had their “grand entrance” and then shared their first dance and husband and wife and then Elise shared a special dance with her dad—it was so cool because it started with “My Girl” and then moved into the Michigan Fight Song and then the Michigan State Fight song!! It is so cool to customize wedding receptions!! Dinner was then served and the toasts were presented—Elise and Kjell have some incredible orators in their list of family and friends!!! The love story was also presented and all of the guests learned that Kjell bought Elise and engagement ring from WalMart!! He really did—but only because the AMAZING ring that was being designed for her was not ready when he was ready to propose!! There are always really cool stories that we learn about our couples! Elise and Kjell did not want to do a “normal” bouquet toss, so they had all of the guests come out to the dance floor and they tossed out lottery tickets!!! Of course, Calloway’s “I wanna be rich” was playing in the background!! Their crowd was so much fun!! Dancing, fun, dancing, fun was how the night was!! Ice cream paint job had the crowd fired up!! It was a great night and we are so happy that Elise and Kjell are local, so we can actually see them again! Gina Dunn was on site to organize and coordinate all aspects of the wedding day and she was beyond phenomenal!!! It was just a perfect day and we are honored to have been part of it!!

Hi Liz and Jamie,
Just writing to thank-you for a fabulous party. We had a great time...although wishing it could have lasted longer. It was like we blinked and the wedding was over:( We had tons of compliments on the music and flow of the party. Kjell's favorite part of the whole wedding was dancing to Ice Cream Paint Job. hehehe
Thank you again and we will be sure to recommend you to other friends getting married.

Alison and David Campbell

Port Royal Clubhouse was the beautiful scene for Alison and Dave's wedding. The rains stopped and the ceremony was held outside on the lawn--what a beautiful setting it is! The guests then moved into the patio area and the dining area for drinks and passed appetizers. Soon dinner was served and then the dancing began. Alison and David were surrounded by their closest family and friends for their very special day. They are such a sweet couple--it was obvious that David wanted to make sure that his new wife had the wedding day of her dreams and we are so happy to have been part of that! We were blessed to share some time with Phillip and Terry Lee (our former pastor and his wife) because Phillip performed the ceremony. Jen Leiti and the entire crew at Port Royal Club took care of all of the details for the night. And did we mention the cake? As usual, Sheri's Edible Designs made an amazingly beautiful and yummy cake!! We also were fortunate to work with photographer John Zeuli again. We worked with John a few years ago and we were so impressed with his generosity, professionalism and his wonderful images!! A very special thanks to John for providing the photos posted on this page!!

Blythe and Phil Carvalho

We met Blythe and Phil so long ago--they have been planning this wedding for a long time and everything really came together perfectly!! Of course, Sebrell Smith and her team had a lot to do with that! The incredible Telfair Museum was the site for the cocktail hour and the reception. The guests first gathered in sculpture gallery downstairs for cocktails and then moved upstairs to the Rotunda for the reception. Low Country Lights provided ambiant lighting in both locations and then when the dancing started, the lighting became much more exciting! Shots by Roxy was there to document the entire event! We wish Blythe and Phil a lifetime of happiness!!

Katie and David Bader

Katie and David are true Blufftonians!! They wanted their wedding to take place near the water and they wanted true Low Country Cuisine for their guests!! They selected Spanish Wells Club for the ceremony and reception site and had Bluffton Oyster Company cater the event--oh my, it was perfect!!! Katie and David are perfect for each other--they are both laid back and fun-loving people. They love being on the water--in fact, earlier in their relationship, David asked Katie if she wanted a ring or a boat first------she selected a boat!! What a girl!! In the end...she got both!! It was a great night of family, friends and celebration!!

Louise and Rick Burroughs

We have been preparing for Louise and Rick's wedding for so long--it is hard to believe the day has actually come! Louise and Rick are such a great couple! They have been planning this wedding and they really wanted every detail to be just perfect for their family and friends. They really had an All-Star Wedding Cast to help make that happen--Jackie Lacey was the coordinator and designer; Frances and Scott Moody were the photographers; Maureen Cohen was the officiant; and Jen Leiti was the event coordinator from Port Royal. We met with Louise and Rick several times during their engagement and worked on setting an agenda that really fit in to how they wanted their wedding day to be organized. We provided microphones for the ceremony (Maureen always loves when we mic her!) and also had entertaining music for the cocktail hour on the deck, and then had the main set up in the dining room. The ceremony was beautiful, the cocktails were enjoyable, the dinner was fabulous and the dancing was incredible. It was such a pleasure to work with Louise and Rick--we wish them many years of joy together!

Kat and James McKee

Kat and James are such a COOL COUPLE!! ...and they have really cool friends and family. James contacted us a long time ago and told us that music and entertainment were very important to them. So, over the past few months we have been exchanging music lists and the final list was great! Kat and James had such a great range of music--the crowd was happy all night long! The wedding day started with a beautiful beach ceremony and then the guests moved into the Hilton Shorehouse for cocktails. Kat and James joined the party, shared a wonderful dinner--thanks to the fabulouse Hilton Staff--and then the party was ON!! It was such a great night and Amanda Julca was there to document the entire evening!

Melissa and Joshua Painter

Melissa and Joshua traveled from the Upstate of SC to the LowCountry of SC to have their dream wedding. Their ceremony was at the beautiful Old Sheldon Ruins and then the guests and the couple traveled to the Anchorage House in downtown Beaufort for their picturesque reception. History, beauty, good food, good family & friends defined the night. Melissa loves the good "oldies," so much of the music reflected that--artists like The Penguins, Curtis Lee, Louis Armstrong and Barbara Lewis. David Howard documented the day with photography that we are sure Melissa and Josh will treasure for a lifetime. It was a pleasure to serve Melissa and Josh and we wish them a lifetime of joy together.

Olivia and Nolan Hazelbaker

Olivia and Nolan are such a cool couple--really cool!! Olivia and Nolan are self-proclaimed "Bluffton River Rats!" They love the river, the sandbar and partying with their friends. For their wedding location, they selected Windows on the Waterway and Celebration Events provided incredible service! Low Country Lights provided really cool Asian Lanterns and lighting inside Windows that really represented Olivia and Nolan's fun and quirky personalities. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Olivia and Nolan had a beautiful ceremony, wonderful food and then headed into dancing and partying!! Torrey Downs with Mira Photography documented the day with incredible images. They were truly a joy to work for and we look forward to seeing them around the river--because we are River Rats too!!

Alicia and Mark Lubbers

Thanks to Facebook and Divine Intervention, Alicia and Mark found each other!! Alicia and Mark knew each other for a few years through mutual friends at church, but through the "magic" of Facebook, Alicia and Mark really "met" each other. They decided to go on a date and that was it--they knew that there was a strong feeling for each other that neither had ever had for anyone else!! They nurtured their relationship and have chosen to love each other--forever! Alicia and Mark selected the Plantation Room at Skidaway Island as their reception site. It is a beautiful room--with A/C since it is August in Savannah--and the view is awesome!!! Alicia and Mark had a great wedding party made up of their dearest family and friends and the couple's desire was that everyone have a good time. In fact, in the words of Mark, "I wanna dance my bootie off!!" ....and that they did!! The crowd was a lot of fun and really did come to celebrate such a beautiful day. It was a pleasure to be part of such a great event. We were also very happy to work with Geoff Johnson as he documented the celebration with photography.

Jaclyn and Jacob Hodskins

Jaclyn and Jacob are both from Owensboro, Kentucky, but they actually met in Hilton Head several years ago. So, it is quite fitting that they would have their wedding in the picturesque setting of Palmetto Bluff--a jewel in SC LowCountry!! Jaclyn and Jacob are devoted to each other in a way that is rare to see--they are absolutely head over heels in love!! They wanted to have a small, intimate ceremony and celebration with just the closest of family and friends--fear not, Owensboro crowd--they are going to have a big blow-out next week with you!! The Palmetto Bluff Chapel served as the setting for their wedding and the May River Grill served as the reception site. Heather Fishburn and the entire staff of Palmetto Bluff is always beyond compare and tonight was no different! Lyn Bonham was on hand to document the entire event that Jaclyn and Jacob will cherish for a lifetime. It was truly a pleasure to share in this special night with Jaclyn and Jacob Hodskins!!

Roger and Gayle Mitchell

Most of you know that our primary jobs are weddings and weddings are our passion! But, several times throughtout the year, we take on other jobs. Thursday, July 30, we served as host and entertainer at the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Roger and Gayle Mitchell--what a true pleasure!! Roger and Gayle were surrounded by their children, grandchildren and family and friends from across the country. And, why not...50 years of marriage is something to be celebrated!! Hampton Hall Clubhouse was the setting for the celebration and Ashleigh Whitmore and the entire staff were excellent in their service. Again, we were honored to be part of such a special event. Our true prayer for each of our wedding couples is that they will learn from couples like Roger and Gayle--everyday will not be rainbows and sunshine, but sticking it out through the tough times is so rewarding!! God Bless you all!!

About Me

My photo
About me personally. To me there is no final win or lose, at least here on earth. Winning or losing is done each and every moment of every day. James Taylor wrote that "the secret of life is enjoying the passage of time," Paul wrote that he was content in all things - to me that is winning. Sometimes I win, sometimes I don't.
